Homemade acne and pimples
Acne which is commonly known as pimples is a condition when the skin gets inflamed. The most vulnerable parts of the body are the face, back, chest and shoulders for pimples. Acne can range from mild to severe. Pimple outbreaks are caused by the sebum that clogs the millions of pores found on our skin. The sebum is an oily substance formed when the oil glands connected to the skin pores are blocked by dirt and other matter. The infection is not restricted to the surface alone but moves deeper down into the different layers of the skin. The increase of hormonal levels during puberty and the menstrual cycle is also a major factor of pimple outbreaks. The over-clogging of pores can cause the production not only of pimples but also of acne. Although prevention is definitely the preferred option for any problem. Here are some tips to prevent pimples/acne and some effective remedies.
- Use a natural antibacterial, non-oily face wash such as those containing tea tree oil or a clay mask containing echinacea. Don't use oily cosmetics.
- Don’t rub or squeeze your pimples, when you do this, you risk spreading the bacteria to other areas.
- Drink lots of water to prevent major skin problems.
- Maintain a balanced diet, eliminating foods with excessive sugar, oil or fat.
- Avoid tight clothing and do not wear makeup whenever possible.
- Juices and vegetables are recommended for daily diet plan and milk and other dairy products should be reduced.
- Another remedy to use is papaya. Using the inside peel of a papaya, gently rub it on the infected area.
- Apply cucumber paste on your face. Wash it off after 20-30 minutes with lukewarm water.
- Fresh pineapple will help heal scars left behind from acne. Gently rub fresh pineapple on the acne scares once a day.
- Use aloe vera in sprouted areas to eliminate pimples and inflammation. Once you apply it let stand for about 10 minutes, then clean with soap and water to remove waste.
- Apple cider vinegar is yet another popular anti-acne remedy to help with the healing process. Apply it daily on the infected areas or sores.
